Founded in 2012, Cimel Oilfield Services began its journey in the oil & gas sector providing Artificial Lift equipment to E&P companies with operations in Soyo, Angola.

Within a year, Cimel had secured an exclusive distribution agreement with a major oilfield services company, and by 2014 Cimel was awarded with various  Drilling & Completions contracts. 

On the back of its early success and investment in generating employment for young Angolan professionals, CABGOC (Chevron) recognized Cimel as a Local Content Success story.

In 2016, Cimel built a multimillion dollar service centre in Cabinda to be able to provide quality support to its clients. Going from strength to strength, during 2017 and 2018, Cimel began to purchase its own equipment, starting with Coring tools and Drilling Rental tools, which, until today, Cimel operates stand-alone.

Throughout 2022 Cimel has entered into important partnerships with international companies, to deliver Tubular Solutions products and, to provide eco-friendly, Technically Advanced Chemical products.
